After a few left over snow flakes this morning, the sunshine will break out of the cloud cover briefly. Today will be a bitter cold day, high temperatures only in the low 20s with wind chill values even colder than that.
Around midnight, our next round of accumulating snow arrives. We will see a few more inches. Wind will pick up as this system rolls through. We can expect wind gusts around 30 to 40 mph. This may cause areas of blowing snow.
The system that moves through today will fire up some scattered lake enhanced snow showers for during the day on Wednesday. Isolated areas will see a couple more inches. Highs on Wednesday will be right around freezing.
Bright sunshine returns Friday and temperatures climb back in the upper 30s and low 40s.
