Evander Kane’s time with the Vancouver Canucks is winding down and one insider has revealed when the nine-time 20-goal scorer could be traded by Patrik Allvin.
Sherwood would end up being dealt to the San Jose Sharks back in January for a pair of second round picks and defenseman Cole Clayton, and with the Canucks moving on from 30-year-old winger, everyone’s attention turned to forward Evander Kane.
“Evander Kane’s agent Dan Milstein has been given permission to help facilitate a trade for his client.” NHL insider Rick Dhaliwal said.

“I’m told there’s several teams that remain in the mix. The Dallas Stars might push it til the end. They might wait. A number of these teams who are interested in Evander Kane might do the exact same thing, which would stand in the way of Vancouver obviously getting something done this week. But based on the sources I have there, it does feel like there’s enough interest around Kane that it is plausible, if not likely, that something gets done this week.” Dreger said.
Kane, 34, would bring an element that most Stanley Cup contenders want in their lineup at the most important time of the year and with back-to-back Finals appearances under his belt, there’s no surprise he’s drawing interest from teams like the Colorado Avalanche and Dallas Stars.
“While it’s still a rumor – something we don’t normally spend too much time on, but this was just too intriguing to not stop and give it pause for a few minutes – two separate sources over the past week have indicated to Mayor’s Manor that they believe Holland is kicking the tires on a potential Kane trade.” Mayor’s Manor said.
The one thing that’s guaranteed at this point is that Evander Kane will be traded. Where he’s traded to and when are two questions that need to be answered, but it’s clear that we’ll be finding out very, very soon as the deadline is just ten days away.
