Jesper Wallstedt (14-5-4, 2.76 GAA, .913 SV%, 4 SO) vs. Karel Vejmelka (27-15-2, 2.61 GAA, .901 SV%, 1 SO)
Wallstedt isn’t your average backup. The 23-year-old has a bright future ahead of him. He had a rough January, though, going 3-3-1 with a 3.95 GAA and .883 SV%. He hasn’t faced the Mammoth in his career.
They could opt for backup Vitek Vanecek after Vejmelka made the start Wednesday and played for Czechia in the Olympics. The Czech is projected, though, after allowing 4 goals on 25 shots to Colorado Wednesday. He stopped 33 of 35 against Minnesota in October.

The Wild are on a back-to-back, but they are the supremely talented team. Minnesota is 18-8-3 on the road, and if Vanecek winds up getting the call for Utah, these odds will muddy.

Take QUINN HUGHES OVER 0.5 ASSISTS (-175) despite the high price tag. He has assists in 11 straight games.
We’re going OVER 6.5 (+100) here. Wallstedt struggled last month and hasn’t been in an NHL game other than mop-up duty Thursday in nearly a month. Utah is 7-3 O/U in its last 10, and Minnesota is 9-1.
