Detroit Red Wings forward prospect Carter Bear continues to be just short of unstoppable in Western Hockey League play.

The  2025 No. 15 pick contributed a goal and two assists to the Everett Silvertips’ 8-3 win over the Kamloops Blazers. Bear was plus-five in the game.

Since Jan. 31, Bear has produced 28 points (14 goals, 14 assists) in 12 games.  His offensive surge includes five three-point games and two four-point games. The feisty left wing boasts 13 points (on 29 shots on goal) in his past five games.

For the season, Bear now shows 32 goals and 34 assists for 66 points in 44 games. He owns a plus-42 plus-minus

Red Wings In Case You Missed It

Detroit prospect Anton Johansson was left a bloody mess in a Swedish Hockey League game.

Coach Todd McLellan’s team looked reenergized in a win over the Ottawa Senators.

Red Wings Extra

The Grand Rapids Griffins are not the same team they were when they were enjoying the best start in the AHL’s 90-year history.  Take that literally. The Griffins play the Iowa Wild again tonight after falling 3-2 Friday with a depleted lineup. Last night, the Griffin were without forwards John Leonard, Nate Danielson and Ondrej Becher (who were all injured) and team captain Dominik Shine who was called up by the Detroit Red Wings for tonight’s game against Carolina.

Michael Brandsegg-Nygard scored his 13th goal of the season and Amadeus Lombardi totaled two assists.  Brandsegg-Nygard has five goals in five games. Lombardi boasts nine goals and 22 assists for 31 points in 32 games.
