Chicago Blackhawks News & Notes:
Chicago is moving through the week as they’ve already traded Connor Murphy to Edmonton for a second-round draft pick. The Blackhawks recalled Ethan Del Mastro from the Rockford IceHogs with the vacancy in their lineup, and are likely to be involved in a few more trades as the deadline nears Friday.
Winnipeg Jets News & Notes:
The Winnipeg Jets look to snap a three-game run of consecutive games gone to overtime. Winnipeg also aims to get back into the winning category after losing in overtime on their recent West Coast road trip. With Josh Morrissey’s return to game action getting closer, the Jets will need to clear roster space to activate Morrissey from injured reserve. Conflicting reports on Nino Niederreiter claim he’s out 4-6 weeks, and the second report says the remainder of the season. Scott Arniel didn’t confirm or deny either claim, but it does feel like Niederreiter is in the form of that report.

Players To Watch:
Chicago Blackhawks
Frank Nazar continues to solidify himself as a reliable centre for the Chicago Blackhawks, and long-term, he’s becoming a piece the team is considering as part of their core. If Nazar can continue to provide the offence the Blackhawks rely on, they have a good shot at defeating the Jets tonight.
Winnipeg Jets
Alex Iafallo has seemingly taken his game to another level this season, and it comes at the right time for Winnipeg, which is lacking secondary scoring. Iafallo was a strong contributor during the Jets’ recent West Coast road trip, and he’ll look to carry that momentum tonight against the Chicago Blackhawks as Winnipeg aims for a win.
