Florida Panthers News & Notes:
The Panthers dropped their last game Tuesday night, 5-1, to the Devils. In their previous five games, they have a 1-4-0 record, scoring 2.6 goals per game while conceding four. The Panthers’ shot at fighting their way into an Eastern Conference Wild Card Spot, they would have to leapfrog five teams alone to get to the team outside looking in. The Bruins currently hold the second playoff Wild Card and have 73 points, ten more than the Pathers. With rumors swirling that they have been listening to offers on a few expiring deals, it appears the Panthers are set to have a full offseason to regroup in 2026.
Columbus Blue Jackets News & Notes:
The Blue Jackets beat the Capitals last night 3-2. They are now three points behind the Boston Bruins, who hold the second Wild Card spot. Columbus does host Boston at the end of March and again on Sunday, April 12, which could be a huge contest with Playoffs on the line as the 81st game of the year for the Blue Jackets. In their last five games, they have a 3-1-1 record, scoring 3.4 goals per game while allowing 2.8.
