The Detroit Red Wings are bringing back a familiar face as they’re acquiring David Perron from the Ottawa Senators in exchange for a conditional fourth-round draft pick. Perron before joining Ottawa spent two seasons in Detroit. The Red Wings are sending the Blue Jacksts fourth round pick if Perron plays in a game before the end of the regular season or during the playoffs. If Detroit advances to the second round and Perron appears in 50% of the games they will give up their own third-round pick. Perron is currently out after undergoing surgery for a sports hernia. He is out 5-7 weeks. He hasn’t played since January 20th for Ottawa. In 49 games this season he has 25 points on ten goals and 15 assists. He’s a plus-two with three power-play goals and a game-winning goal. He’ll provide a boost to the Red Wings locker room, something with him they lost when he signed with Ottawa.
