Tyson Gross is headed home.

The Calgary Flames announced the signing of the St. Cloud State forward and Calgary native on Thursday to a two-way, two-year deal worth $975,000 per season.

Gross, 23, just completed his junior season with the Huskies. He appeared in 36 games, scoring 18 goals and adding 23 assists. In recognition of his season, Gross was named to the All-National Collegiate Hockey Conference (NCHC) First Team. He finishes his collegiate career with 34 goals and 52 assists in 106 games across three seasons.

Gross is a 2026 Hobey Baker Award nominee. The top-10 finalists will be revealed on Wednesday with the list cut down to three on Apr. 2. The award winner will be announced on Apr. 10.

The Huskies’ season ended this past Sunday, losing their best-of-three NCHC quarter-finals series in two games to No. 10 Minnesota Duluth. Both losses came in overtime.
