Seattle Kraken News and Notes:
In an incredibly tight Western Conference wild card race, the Seattle Kraken have been struggling since the beginning of March. The Kraken sit just two points back from the Los Angeles Kings, who currently hold the final wild card spot. However, the Kraken have lost six of their last eight games since the Winter Olympic break. One of those two wins was a dominant 5-1 victory over the Vancouver Canucks so tonight is a big game for the Kraken to take advantage of.
Vancouver Canucks News and Notes:
The Vancouver Canucks, assumed by all to be tanking for either Gavin McKenna or Ivar Stenberg in the 2026 NHL Draft, pulled out a massive comeback 4-3 shootout victory against the Nashville Predators on Thursday. A team that has gone through so many changes to their roster this season gets a massive morale boost with Minnesota Wild newcomer Marco Rossi leading the way, contributing on all three goals in regulation time, tallying a goal and two assists.

Players to Watch:
Seattle Kraken:
After what was one of the bigger acquisitions at the 2026 NHL Trade Deadline, the newly acquired winger from the Toronto Maple Leafs, Bobby McMann, has yet to make his debut in a Kraken jersey and is rumoured to make his debut today. However, without McMann, the Canucks still have their hands full with a very deep forward core, including a third line that is full of potential with Shane Wright, Kaapo Kakko, and Berkly Catton.
Vancouver Canucks:
Not only did Marco Rossi take over the leadership role and carry the Canucks to a victory this past Thursday, but Canucks staples Brock Boeser and Filip Hronek carried their weight, also putting up multi-point performances, with both Boeser and Hronek grabbing a goal and an assist, so they could look to strike again tonight against their division rival. With team chemistry officially beginning to develop, the Canucks have the attitude that they can take on anybody right now.
