Three Things to Know:

Toninato Reaches Milestone: Forward Dominic Toninato skated in his 500th professional game and his 306th AHL game last night. Toninato, 32, has a career-high 40 points (14G, 26A) through 51 games with the IceHogs this season. The Duluth, MN native signed a two-year, two-way contract with the Chicago Blackhawks this past summer. Toninato has 36 points in 194 career NHL games between the Colorado Avalanche, Florida Panthers, Winnipeg Jets, and Chicago Blackhawks. The IceHogs’ forward has three power play goals and three short handed goals for Rockford this year.

Playoff Picture: The IceHogs find themselves on the outside looking in of the AHL playoff picture in the Central Division standings. After last night’s win over the Wolves, the IceHogs are six points behind the Admirals for the fifth and final playoff spot with 14 games remaining. Rockford is currently two points ahead of the Iowa Wild, and will take on the Wild six more times in the final month of the season. The Admirals face on the league-leading Grand Rapids Griffins in Van Andel Arena for a two game series this weekend.

Drew City: Goaltender Drew Commesso earned his 10th win of the season with a 29-save performance against the Wolves last night. Commesso, 23, made his return to the BMO Center after being reassigned by the Blackhawks earlier in the week. The Rockford netminder picked up his second NHL win Monday night, making 23 saves in Chicago’s overtime win over the Utah Mammoth. Commesso snapped his four-game losing skid with the win over Chicago Friday night.
