Game 4 between the Stars and the Oilers didn’t give Dallas fans much to cheer about.
The Stars, again, surrendered an early lead and only managed to tie things up for a little over two minutes before Edmonton reclaimed the lead for good, dropping Dallas into a 3-1 hole with Tuesday’s 4-1 Game 4 loss.
The biggest outlet Stars fans had all night was the shared outrage the fanbase seemed to experience after a questionable shot against Dallas forward Roope Hintz, who was back on the ice after missing Game 3 with a foot injury.
Hintz, who was originally injured after an iffy whack to his foot by Darnell Nurse in Game 2, got another whack early into Game 4 from Edmonton’s Evan Bouchard. Bouchard welcomed Hintz back to the ice by popping him in the injured foot, temporarily staggering Hintz before he was able to skate back to the bench. The play went unpenalized.

Stars fans, safe to say, weren’t pleased. And the eventual 4-1 score didn’t help matters, the night leaving a fairly pessimistic cloud over StarsLand.

Three shots on goal in the third period when down by one goal with your backs against the wall just isn’t acceptable. #TexasHockey
