Let’s be honest: the Canadiens organization has just sent a strong message to all of Montreal.

By changing its pregame video montage to include Jacob Fowler’s highlights, the Canadiens confirm what many already suspected.

We’re talking about a move that doesn’t lie in the world of hockey.

The kid is here to stay, especially after his official recall last Wednesday. His 32-save performance against the Senators also left a strong impression.

Arpon Basu and Karine Hains also noticed that the famous pad save against Claude Giroux is now immortalized on the giant scoreboard.

Simply put, Fowler is being treated like the new sheriff in town.

Let’s be honest, with a 5-4-2 record and a .906 save percentage in the NHL this season, Fowler is delivering the goods.

Meanwhile, Samuel Montembeault is going through a tougher stretch with a 3.43 goals-against average.

A Fowler-Dobes duo for the future in Montreal?

Kent Hughes appears to have chosen his path to finish the season strong.

Martin St-Louis no longer really has a difficult decision to make in goal.

Fowler’s raw talent and disarming calm are forcing the hand of the organization’s leadership.

We can all agree that this is excellent news for fans who want to see fresh blood.

Fowler has proven he can steal games, and that’s exactly what you ask from a number-one goalie.
