Florida Panthers News and Notes:
The Florida Panthers continue to be one of the most injured rosters in the entire NHL. Core forwards like Sam Bennett, Sam Reinhart, and Brad Marchand are all questionable for tonight’s game, and the defending Stanley Cup champions keep falling further and further out of the Playoff race. The Panthers have been hot and cold, going 4-5 since the Winter Olympic break, and they have to pick a direction on tanking or climbing back into the Playoff race before it’s too late
Vancouver Canucks News and Notes:
After a last five games with Vancouver going 2-2-1, The Canucks take a rough loss to their division rival, the Seattle Kraken, and look to have returned to the tank objective. The Canucks being the odds-on favourite to get the first overall pick in the 2026 NHL Draft, there are still some question marks on who the Canucks will draft between Gavin McKenna and Ivar Stenberg. We’ll see how the final month of games winds down and what needs arise for the rebuild of the Vancouver Canucks.

Players to Watch:
Florida Panthers:
With all the injuries to the forward rotation, Anton Lundell rises to the occasion, taking over the top line centre position. With 17 goals and 26 assists on the season, Lundell is definitely a threat to produce at an even higher rate going forward. Like Lundell, Eetu Luostarinen has also been given a great opportunity on the top line, which he has taken advantage of, potting a goal in his last game and adding to his 8 goals and 17 assists on the season.
Vancouver Canucks:
Brock Boeser has taken over a leadership role for a Canucks team that has been needing a boost in team chemistry, and boy, has he thrived. Boeser, with three points in the last two games and six points in the last six games, has officially found his rhythm. Drew O’ Connor continues to be one of Vancouver’s biggest sleepers as well, grabbing an assist in his last game, tacking on his 15 goals and 10 assists, putting him second on the team in goals. With O’Connor being recently pushed up to the starting lineup, he is a threat to do even more damage.
