Let’s be honest, the atmosphere was electric last night at the Bell Centre as the Montreal Canadiens secured an emotional 3-2 overtime win over the Boston Bruins.
Cole Caufield once again proved he’s in a class of his own. By beating Jeremy Swayman late in overtime, Caufield officially recorded his 40th goal of the season.
Simply put, he becomes the first Canadiens player to reach that milestone since Vincent Damphousse in 1993-94.
We can all agree that’s an incredible achievement for the young sniper.
The other major star of the night was none other than Brendan Gallagher. The warrior was playing his 900th career NHL game, all with the Canadiens.
Gally even celebrated in style with an assist on Josh Anderson’s goal.
