Buffalo Sabres prospect Konsta Helenius has been having an excellent season with the Rochester Americans. The 2024 first-round pick has taken a big step in the right direction with his development and is only continuing to make an impact as the season carries on.
During the Amerks’ most recent contest against the Hartford Wolf Pack, Helenius recorded a hat trick. With this, there is no question that he played a major role in Rochester’s 6-3 victory over Hartford.

With this big performance, Helenius now has 18 goals, 30 assists, and 48 points in 50 games this season with Rochester. He also has five goals and nine points over his last eight games with the AHL squad.
With how well Helenius continues to play with Rochester, it is hard not to feel excited about his future with the Sabres. He already showed promise earlier this season with the Sabres, too, as he has one goal and four points in NHL games with Buffalo this campaign.
It will now be interesting to see how Helenius finishes off the 2025-26 season from here. It is hard not to be impressed with how well the Sabres’ prospect has played during his second campaign with Rochester.
