PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — The National Hockey League’s 2025 Stanley Cup Playoffs began on April 19 and feature eight former Winterhawks players. Over the years, 136 Winterhawks have played in the NHL.

Headlining the group is Seth Jarvis, a 2020 first-round pick by the Carolina Hurricanes who is starting his fourth consecutive postseason after two consecutive seasons with over 30 goals and 67 assists. Jarvis was with Portland from 2017-21 before being drafted in 2020 in the first round.

Adin Hill is one of the few alums still active that has won a Stanley Cup. In the 2023 Stanley Cup Finals, he helped the Las Vegas Golden Knights defeat the Florida Panthers in five games.

Seth Jones is another first-round pick, going fourth to the Nashville Predators in 2013 and has since played in four NHL All-Star Games (2017, 2019, 2020, 2023). With the Winterhawks, he was named WHL Rookie of the Year (2013) and Canadian Major Junior Top Prospect of the Year (2013).
