We have a concerning development out of Nashville for Martin St-Louis and the Montreal Canadiens.

As reported by Priyanta Emrith, at the time of writing, forward Josh Anderson is missing from the bench and has gone back to the locker room.

He is not on the Canadiens’ bench, having returned to the locker room, and this is clearly a situation to monitor closely.

Let’s hope for reassuring news quickly in this situation.

We will keep you updated as soon as more information becomes available.

A concerning situation to monitor for Josh Anderson

It’s worth recalling that the physical number 17 recently missed a few games due to an injury.

Is this the same issue resurfacing?

At the moment, Martin St-Louis’ group is actively battling to secure its valuable playoff position.

Losing a forward of this size significantly complicates line management for the head coach during this long road trip.

Could this potentially open the door for a certain Patrik Laine?

We will, of course, be watching this situation very closely over the next few minutes.

Josh Anderson, 31, is a 6-foot-3 forward who was selected in the 4th round by the Columbus Blue Jackets in 2012.

Forward Josh Anderson (illness) will not return to play tonight.
