His latest feat is a hard one to believe.
Somehow on Thursday night, Tkachuk got charged with a two-minute minor penalty for slashing — while he was sitting on the bench.
Here’s a look at what happened against the Buffalo Sabres:
Tkachuk hasn’t wanted to deal with the noise right now. He declined his media availability earlier on Thursday.
But somehow, despite this early and bizarre penalty, things mostly went well the rest of the night for the Senators. They won 4-1 to spoil the Sabres’ first chance to clinch a playoff spot.
If Tkachuk keeps his vibe going, he might not talk with anyone about this penalty, either.

At least it came in a win.
And now Tkachuk can say he found a way for a penalty that likely hasn’t happened very often in the history of hockey.
