New Jersey Devils star Jack Hughes came to watch a baseball game and might’ve left with some killer recipes.
The 2026 Winter Olympics gold medalist was on hand for the New York Yankees’ home opener to throw out the first pitch. While on the field, he chatted with Martha Stewart as well:
Hughes scored the winning goal to bring Team USA its first gold medal in men’s hockey since the “Miracle on Ice” squad in 1980. A lot of doors opened up in the aftermath of that triumph. That included Friday’s ceremonial honor.
“I’m a big Yankees fan,” he said, per NJ.com’s Randy Miller. “Just being in the area for a while, I always come to games in the summer. When everything went down, this was the one thing I was wondering if it would happen. I knew a lot of things were coming, but this was the one thing I was always wishing, hoping for.”
