Nick Lardis is expected to play Saturday night for the Chicago Blackhawks after taking a puck to the hand.
Chicago Blackhawks forward Nick Lardis is expected to be in the lineup for tonight’s game after taking a puck to the hand in the previous contest.
The Athletic’s Mark Lazerus reported the update Saturday during the team’s morning skate, noting that Lardis has been cleared to return and is not expected to miss additional time.
The 20-year-old rookie was injured when a shot deflected off his hand during the Blackhawks’ Thursday night game in Edmonton. He left the contest briefly but has since been given the green light to play.
Lardis has been one of the more promising young forwards for the rebuilding Blackhawks, especially since moving up the lineup. His availability provides a boost to the lineup heading into Saturday’s matchup. The young forward has 14 points (9G, 5A) in 35 games with the NHL club this season.
