Forward Zach Hyman will not play in Saturday’s crucial divisional matchup against the Vegas Golden Knights due to an undisclosed injury, according to head coach Kris Knoblauch.
Hyman out tonight according to Knoblauch. Said if it was a playoff game he’d be in but choosing to let him rest whatever the issue is.

Hyman, 33, last appeared during the Oilers’ 3-1 win over the Chicago Blackhawks on Thursday where he had a shot with a minus-1 rating on 16:40 of ice time.
Knoblauch added that Hyman would have likely been able to play if it were the playoffs but elected to let him rest the issue since it is still the regular season.
The 6-foot-1 winger has 31 goals and 51 points in 57 games this season.
Edmonton has a 39-28-9 record and is tied for the Pacific Division lead over the Anaheim Ducks entering Saturday’s action . They hold the tie-breaker over Anaheim with more regulation wins on the season.
The Oilers are also ahead of the Golden Knights in the division by three points with six games remaining in the regular season.
Additionally, Knoblauch told reporters that star forward Leon Draisaitl will not join the team for their upcoming three-game road trip, but will remain in Edmonton and begin skating.
The 6-foot-2 centre was deemed out for the remainder of the regular season on March 17 with a lower-body injury.
Draisaitl has 35 goals and 97 points in 65 games this season.
Ottawa Senators
Ottawa Senators defenceman Jake Sanderson appears to be returning to the lineup Saturday against the Minnesota Wild.
He will return on a pair with Artem Zub.
Linus Ullmark will get the start in net.
Sanderson has not played since March 7 due to an upper-body injury he sustained against the Seattle Kraken. The 23-year-old has 11 goals and 48 points in 62 games this season.
Defenceman Tyler Kleven has been deemed week-to-week after suffering an upper-body injury on Thursday against the Buffalo Sabres.

The Leafs have recalled defenceman William Villeneuve from the AHL’s Toronto Marlies on an emergency basis.
Oliver Ekman-Larsson is listed as doubtful for tonight’s game against the Los Angeles Kings.

Villeneuve, 24, has three goals and 28 points in 58 games with the Marlies this season.

Washington Capitals forward Aliaksei Protas will return to the lineup Saturday against the Buffalo Sabres.
He has not played since March 28 due to an upper-body injury. He has 23 goals and 47 points in 70 games this season.

The goaltender said it is ‘tough to say’ how close he is to a return to game action.
In nine games this season Kochetkov has a 6-2-0 record with a 2.33 goals-against average and .905 save percentage.
