Cole Caufield is giving fans strong emotions in this final stretch of the regular season.

He just had an absolutely outstanding offensive month of March.

He recorded an impressive total of 12 goals in just 14 games during that span.

Reaching the prestigious 50-goal mark is now a very realistic target for the Canadiens’ star forward.

He has proven he is a constant threat every time he sets up in the offensive zone, especially in the slot (both at even strength and, of course, on the power play).

With 10 goals in his last 7 games, his current production is incredible.

However, the NHL surprisingly chose to look elsewhere when naming its three stars of the month of March.

Nikita Kucherov, Erik Karlsson and Pavel Zacha were selected over the Montreal Canadiens’ number 13.

Bad news for Cole Caufield: he is once again being overlooked by the NHL

Maintaining a pace close to a goal per game should logically guarantee a spot among the three stars of the month.

That deserved recognition, and it’s becoming ridiculous.

Obviously, Cole Caufield won’t lose sleep over it, but it remains frustrating for fans to see that Montreal Canadiens players are not being recognized at their true value.

And it goes back to the Team USA Olympic selection!

Caufield must be getting tired of constantly being overlooked.
