The Boston Bruins lost to the Lightning last night. They went 0-2-2 during games in Florida this season.
There were a lot of “unfortunately’s” being thrown around after the game, but, fortunately for the Bruins, they see the Lightning again, and they still sit comfortably in the first wild card spot. The Bruins are also back on the ice, not even 24 hours later, in a city that is a two-hour flight from Tampa.

In other news, the Bruins had a lot of results go their way yesterday. The Red Wings, Blue Jackets, and Senators, who are all chasing the Bruins, lost. The Red Wings’ loss paved the way for the Lightning and Sabres to punch their ticket to the playoffs.
The Penguins put up nine on the Panthers, which eliminated them from the playoff picture.
Elliotte Friedman also has an update on the GM searches that are taking place in Nashville and Toronto.
Happy Easter! Happy Passover!

Boston Bruins
GAMEDAY: The Boston Bruins (43-26-8) are on this afternoon, they are in Pennsylvania to take on the Philadelphia Flyers (38-26-12). BRUINS LOSE: The Bruins fell 3-1 to the Tampa Bay Lightning (48-22-6) at Benchmark International Arena last night. Casey Mittelstadt scored the only Bruins’ goal, but the Lightning had a three-goal third period and picked up the victory.
BREAK APART: After the game, Marco Sturm said it was the little details. The Bruins’ power play did not help, either. They have gone 10-for-64 (15.6%) since the Olympic break, and 0-for-4 against the Lightning.
Prospects Update
Another day, another point for James Hagens (1-3–4 this season). He set up Victor Soderstrom for a power play goal last night.
The P-Bruins fell to the Rochester Americans 2-1 in overtime.
