Lindgren went more than three weeks between starts for the Capitals, as the schedule allowed Washington to ride Logan Thompson for the past 10 games. But for Sunday’s game at Madison Square Garden, the second night of a back-to-back set, the Capitals had to turn to Lindgren — and proceeded to hang him out to dry.
