You’ve seen them all over the place now. The Buffalo Sabres were selling some novelty beer glasses in the shape of a sword, and now, they’re selling for a pretty penny.
Whoever came up with this idea was brilliant. They made beer glasses that look like swords and sold them at Buffalo Sabres games. As we sat at the game last night, I couldn’t imagine how much extra beer they sold by having people drink it out of these swords. Anytime they showed someone on the jumbotron with one in their hand that person would then proceed to chug it (or in many cases, just pour it all down the front of themselves) only to have to go get some more to refill it. I’ll be honest, it was a lot of fun to watch, and people loved it. It was fun.

If you’ve ever wondered how to get these 20-oz beer swords, they were selling them at the games. They used to be limited to only Friday and Saturday home games while supplies lasted, and they cost about $27. But they were selling out quickly, and they became hard to get your hands on.
You can find just about anything for sale online, and sure enough, they’re there today. The Bills Mafia Babes found them listed online, but they weren’t cheap.
It may have felt like a crazy purchase at the time, but this one could turn out to be well worth it if you have one and you’re willing to part with it.
You might want to hold onto it, though. They’ve got a couple of extra games to play this year.
