Look, last game was…rough. The game itself, the impact of that particular outcome, all of it.

But today’s a new day, and there’s another bright, shiny face joining the lineup and giving the boys (and us) a much-needed boost: welcome to the NHL, Ilya Protas! Henceforth apparently known as Pro to big brother Aliaksei’s Big Pro, Ilya is set to make his NHL debut tonight in Toronto against a Maple Leafs team that was eliminated from the playoffs over the weekend. As we’ve seen, however, eliminated teams can be dangerous. Hopefully the Caps will be able to turn the excitement around Protas’s debut into a strong finish to the season.
