LAS VEGAS – Boston College sophomore forward James Hagens was named a First Team All-American by the American Hockey Coaches Association on Friday evening.
This marks the third-straight season in which an Eagle has earned First Team All-America honors, following Jacob Fowler and Ryan Leonard in 2025, and Cutter Gauthier, Will Smith and Fowler in 2024.
The Hauppauge, New York native finished 2025-26 as Boston College’s leading scorer with 47 points on 23 goals and 24 assists, while also leading the league in points and goals. He was named a Hobey Baker Top 10 Finalist following the conclusion of the regular season after sitting fifth in the country for goals and seventh in points per game.
In league play, Hagens finished with 28 points on 13 goals and 15 assists, earning Hockey East First Team All-Star honors along with earning the Three Stars Award and finishing as the league’s scoring champion.
Hagens ended the season on a 14-game point streak, totaling 24 points on 12 goals and 12 assists. During that stretch, he was named the Beanpot MVP following a five-point performance across the two games to help the Eagles earn their 21st Beanpot title and first since 2016.
Following the end of the season, Hagens signed an ATO with the Providence Bruins on March 23. On April 8, Hagens signed a three-year entry-level contract with the Boston Bruins, effective immediately.
