Ottawa Senators forward Brady Tkachuk exited Saturday’s game against the New York Islanders in the second period after defenceman Ryan Pulock’s stick made contact with the forward’s head/neck area.
Tkachuk tried to return towards the end of the second period and to start the third, but left for the Senators’ locker room shortly after. He managed one shot on goal and seven hits in 10:25 time on ice.
The veteran also dropped the gloves with Islanders captain Anders Lee on the opening face-off of the game.
In 59 games this season, the 26-year-old has 22 goals and 37 assists for 59 points. The former fourth-overall pick has spent all eight of his professional seasons in the nation’s capital, recording 213 goals and 463 points.
