WASHINGTON, D.C. — Sidney Crosby will probably play Sunday. So, too, will Evgeni Malkin, Kris Letang, Erik Karlsson, and Bryan Rust.

The Penguins’ injury list from Saturday has recovered well enough to play Sunday, but five more players landed on the list. Coach Dan Muse also confirmed that college free agent Jake Livanavage will not make his NHL debut Sunday.

Sunday’s game will be significant because Washington Capitals star and all-time great Alex Ovechkin may very well play his final home game. He has not ruled out returning, but is considering retirement. After 21 years of fierce rivalries, playoff battles in which the Penguins won three Stanley Cups and the Capitals finally won their first in 2018, Crosby and Ovechkin will meet for the 75th, and possibly last time Sunday.

The only player who missed Saturday and will also miss Sunday is rookie Ben Kindel.

The five players who will not play Sunday are:

Ben Kindel (upper-body)

Noel Acciari (upper-body)

Anthony Mantha (lower-body)

Ryan Shea (upper-body)

Connor Clifton (upper-body)
