The Tri-State Toyota Dealers Association and Bank of America — both corporate partners of the Flyers and 76ers — are “reaping the benefits” of Philadelphia’s NHL and NBA teams making the playoffs in the same year for the first time since 2020, according to John George of the PHILADELPHIA BUSINESS JOURNAL. Both corporate partners are using the playoff runs to “maximize sponsorship value through everything from branded product giveaways to social media tie-ins.” The association has signage in Xfinity Mobile Arena, which gets “heightened exposure” during the playoffs. It is also sponsoring the Flyers “’Ignite the Orange’ bus tour to hype up fans throughout the region,” and Toyota’s name is “on digital Flyers playoff tickets.” The association will also “distribute rally towels at both Flyers and Sixers home playoff games.” During games, the association sponsors the RAV4 Fourth Quarter Noise Meter with the Sixers and the RAV4 Minutes to Play at the end of each period for the Flyers. Bank of America is a new partner for the teams and arena, having signed last October to replace Wells Fargo as their official banking partner. The company’s deal gives it signage that includes its name on the ice and the boards for Flyers games and on the base of the backboard for Sixers games. It also has digital signage and naming rights for the club level at Xfinity Mobile Arena. Bank of America also “plans branded T-shirt and towel giveaways at playoff games and co-sponsored social media content on its and the teams’ accounts” (PHILADELPHIA BUSINESS JOURNAL, 4/20).
