The Nashville Predators assigned Brady Martin, their top pick in the 2025 NHL Draft, to the Milwaukee Admirals on April 21.

Martin, whose junior hockey season with Sault Ste. Marie (OHL) concluded on April 17, joins the Admirals ahead of their appearance in the AHL playoffs, which begin on April 22.

After being selected by the Predators at No. 5 overall last June, Martin made his NHL debut on Oct. 9 against the Columbus Blue Jackets. In his second game on Oct. 11, he recorded his first assist against the Utah Mammoth.

Then on Oct. 22, Martin was reassigned to the OHL for the rest of the season. In 24 games for the Soo Greyhounds, he recorded eight goals and 16 assists, adding three goals and seven assists in 10 playoff games. He was also a factor for Team Canada at the World Junior Championships, where he had four goals and four assists in six games.

Martin is expected to play for the Admirals in their first-round series against the Manitoba Moose. That series begins with Game 1 on April 22.

Martin signed a three-year, entry-level contract with the Predators on Aug. 20. That contract will run through the 2027-28 season, after which he will be a restricted free agent.
