The Avalanche have a 2-0 series lead for the first time in four years. The other three series that played on Tuesday are tied 1-1. Also, the New Jersey Devils introduced their new GM and the Flyers are looking to build off an excellent two games on the road.

The Avalanche won 2-1 in OT, and Nic Roy was the hero.

Adding to the craziness of this long, long night. The second period involved a broken pane of glass behind the L.A. Kings bench that led to a 20-minute delay. Click below to read more about how it happened.

Stanley Cup Playoffs Recap

Game 2 Recap — Canadiens at Lightning — (Series tied 1-1)

The Habs and Bolts continued to beat each other up on the ice. Brandon Hagel and Juraj Slafkovsky dropped the gloves, with Hagel getting the takedown. On the scoresheet, Nikita Kucherov scored on a wrap-around with 7:27 remaining in regulation to force a second consecutive OT between the two clubs.

The hero came from Tampa Bay’s side, as J.J. Moser recorded his first career playoff game more than 12 minutes into extra time to even the series.

Game 2 Recap — Bruins 4 at Sabres 2 — (Series tied 1-1)

The Bruins scored the first four goals and didn’t give up a lead this time. Buffalo got two late in the third, but it only cut half of the lead. As the series shifts to Boston, you have to imagine the Sabres are going to need to find a way to get engaged offensively far earlier than they did in the first two games.

They also can’t let Morgan Geekie score on a backhand from center ice on Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen. I’d imagine Alex Lyon, who entered the game in relief, will get the nod in Game 3.

Game 2 Recap — Mammoth 3 at Golden Knights 2 — (Series tied 1-1)

Utah has its first-ever playoff win. Logan Cooley scored the go-ahead goal with just six minutes remaining in regulation to put the Mammoth ahead as the series comes to Delta Center.
