The Utah Mammoth announced today that they are continuing their coaching internship program at this year’s 2026 Development Camp. Through the program, Tara Connolly, an assistant coach for Dartmouth’s women’s hockey team and a member of the NHL Coaches’ Association Female Coaches program, and Greg May, head coach of the University of Minnesota’s women’s hockey team and member of the NHL Coaches’ Association BIPOC Coaches program, will work alongside the Mammoth coaching staff as a way to enhance their coaching skills.

As part of the Mammoth internship coaching program, Connolly and May will shadow the Mammoth coaching staff throughout development camp, take part in daily coach and player meetings, and assist the staff with on-ice drills. They will also serve as assistant coaches for the team’s Black and White scrimmage on Thursday, July 2.

“We are very proud to be a part of the coaching journey for Greg and Tara and for them to expand their already high-level of knowledge for the game by working alongside our NHL coaches,” said Chris Armstrong, president of hockey operations for the Utah Mammoth. “This should prove to be a great opportunity for both of them to learn additional systems and tactics to apply to their own teams.”
