The Capitals are looking to eliminate the Canadiens with a win and avoid having to go back to Montreal. The Capitals won both games in Washington to open up the series, but lost the first game in Montreal 6-3. They bounced back on Sunday to win 5-2 and take a 3-1 lead in the best-of-seven series.
Alex Ovechkin has continued to be a force for the Capitals in the playoffs, as he is tied for the team lead with three goals. Connor McMichael also has three goals and has four points. Dylan Strome leads the team with five assists and seven points. The Capitals are looking to wrap up the seriers, but if they lose Game 6 will be Friday in Montreal.
