Philadelphia Flyers
Philly Hockey Now: It’s been a long time since the Flyers have had a defenseman score more than 15 goals in a single season. It’s been even longer, like way wayyy longer, since it’s been 20. Who were the defensemen to do so, and could someone on the current roster hit that mark?
What about predictions? All eyes will be on Porter Martone, entering his first full season in Philly, but taking part of his second season. He is not the only young player to play in their second season in the NHL. Let’s predict what could come for Denver Barkey and Alex Bump.
What about areas of roster strength vs. weakness? One area on the Flyers roster that was once considered a great weakness has now become a strength. Now, the addition of Joseph Woll could make it even stronger.
Now over to X. The Arber Xhekaj rumors have been a little loud, starting with Dave Pagnotta. Now, Jeff Marek has joined in the conversation, saying that the Flyers could be a landing spot for the Canadiens RFA.
Jeff Marek: Re Arber Xhekaj future/Canadiens: It’s been out there for a while that Philadelphia could be that landing spot; my thought on a player like Xhekaj, though, is you send them to the other conference – The Sheet (7/28)
