Some weeks there is now news around the Los Angeles Kings. Other weeks there is plenty. This past week happened to be a week of news and plenty of it. The Kings announced the games that will be on national television for the 2026-27 season, some time changes for games this season, and the roster information for the 2026 Rookie Faceoff. Things are starting to pick up as the regular season is right around the corner and the preseason is picking up steam. Here is the following information concerning the upcoming season.
The Kings will have 12 nationally televised games this season. Los Angeles will have as few as one game and as many as four games in every month of the season on national television and here is the schedule.
Games that can be found on TNT include Kings at the Colorado Avalanche on September 30, Sharks at the Kings on November 4, and the Sharks at the Kings again on December 9.
The only game on ESPN for Los Angeles will be October 6 at home against the Florida Panthers.
The Kings have several games on ESPN+/ Hulu this season. They include the Kings at the New York Islanders on October 22, the Nashville Predators on the road against the Kings on November 10, and the Islanders on the road against the Kings on November 12, The Kings at the Detroit Red Wings on December 15, the Kings at the Minnesota WIld on December 22, Los Angeles at home against the Seattle Kraken on January 19, and the Kings at the Philadelphia Flyers on January 28. The only March contest sees the Kings visit the Kraken on March 11.
The following games have had game times changed and they are as follows: December 9- San Jose @Los Angeles changed from 7:00PM to 6:30PM, December 15- Los Angeles @ Detroit changed from 7:00PM to 7:30PM, January 28-Los Angeles @ Philadelphia changed from 7:00PM to 7:30 PM, March 7- Colorado @Los Angeles changed from 12:30PM to 1:00PM, MArch 11- Los Angeles @Seattle changed from 6:40PM to 6:30PM, April 6- Los Angeles @ Anaheim changed from 7:00PM to 7:15PM.

Los Angeles also announced the 27-player roster for their 2026 rookie camp, which will participate in the 2026 Rookie Faceoff this preseason. This season, the rookie camp will take place in El Segundo, California at the Toyota Sports PErformance Center (TSPC) from Friday, September 11 through Tuesday, September 15. The 2026 Rookie Faceoff tournament will take place at Tech CU Arena and Sharks Ice in San Jose and that will run from the same dates as above. THe roster for the tournament is as follows:
Forwards: Jared Wright, Kenny Connors, Kenta Isogai, Jimmy Lombardi, Elias Schneider, Jack Hughes, Jan Chovan, Grant Slukynsky, Vojtech Cihar, Kaleb Lawrence, Koehn Zimmer, Liam Lefebvre, and Brendan Gorman
Defensemen: Adam Goljer, Michael Mastrodomenico, Jakub Dvorak, Otto Salin, Nate Corbet, Henry Brzustewicz, Kirill Kirsanov, Jared Woolley, Giorgos Pantelas, and Lucas Ambrosio.
Goaltenders: Hampton Slukynsky, Carter George, and Yegor Rybkin.
The 2026 Rookie Faceoff schedule kicks off Saturday, September 12 as the Kings take on the San Jose Sharks at 5:00 p.m. PT. The next night sees the Anaheim Ducks against the Kings at 3:00 p.m. PT. September 14 there are no games due to a practice day. the Kings return to action against the Utah Mammoth on September 15 at 1:00 p.m. PT.
Wright and Connors are the only two Kings rookies to return to the Rookie Faceoff after making their NHL debuts the previous season. Goljer will be participating in his first Rookie Faceoff tournament as he was the Kings second-round pick in 2026 (49th overall). Lefebvre will also be playing in his first as he was selected in the 2026 NHL Draft, three spots above Goljer.
