The Belleville Senators proved to be bad news for the Bears.
The Hershey Bears that is.
Jan Jenik led six different goal scorers with a “Gordie Howe Hat Trick” (goal, assist and a fight) as the B-Sens blew out Hershey 6-2 at the Giant Centre.
The two-time defending Calder Cup champions outshot Belleville 25-23 but B-Sens goaltender Malcolm Subban says he had plenty of help.
Jeremy Davies (9th), Garrett Pilon (9th), Cole Reinhardt (11th), Jorian Donovan (2nd and Max Guenette (7th) also scored for the Senators.
The win moves Belleville into sole possession of the fifth and final playoff spot in the AHL North.
Belleville returns to Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Saturday night where they began this four-game road trip with a 4-1 win on Tuesday.
