Kindel is a talented playmaker with good vision and passing ability. Kindel also possesses an above-average shot and plays with a high motor. The forward is also good along the boards and is willing to play defense in his own end. Kindel played some center in the WHL but projects as a wing in the NHL. However, he does have some versatility, which teams will like.
