A forward from Grand Rapids, Mich., has committed to the UMass Lowell hockey program.

Aidan Dyer will play one more season for the Chicago Steel of the United States Hockey League before arriving in Lowell prior to the 2026-27 season.

A 5-10, 162-pound skater, Dyer proved to be quite durable this past season as he was one of only two Chicago players to play in all 62 regular-season games. He collected 10 goals and dished out 16 assists. One of his goals was a game-winning tally.

Dyer ended his season well, scoring two goals over the final three games. In the 2023-24 season, he played for Springfield of the North American Hockey League, compiling seven goals and 24 points in 51 games.
