The onus now shifts back to the Oilers, who are looking to avenge a loss in seven games to the Panthers in last year’s Stanley Cup Finals. Edmonton battled back in Game 5 with a pair of third-period goals, but ultimately ran out of time to fall into Tuesday’s elimination scenario. Since falling to Edmonton on the road in Game 1, the Panthers have won three of the past four games in the series in their bid to repeat as Stanley Cup champs.
