Sunrise (CBS12 News) — The Florida Panthers celebrated into the wee hours of Tuesday morning, after basking in the glory of Panthers fans getting to witness yet another on ice celebration with the Stanley Cup.
Sam Bennett won the Conn Smyth trophy for most valuable player of the 2025 playoffs, but it’s hard to argue that it wasn’t a complete team effort once again, as the Panthers cliched back to back Stanley Cup Championships with a 5-1 win over the Edmonton Oilers in Game 6 of the Final. Sam Reinhart score 4 goals in the clincher, while Matthew Tkachuk netted the eventual Stanley Cup clinching goal.
The Panthers are the first team to win back to back Stanley Cups since the Tampa Bay Lightning in 2020 and 2021.
