The Florida Panthers played hard to win their second consecutive Stanley Cup and then partied even harder, causing some damage to hockey’s greatest prize.

After a dominant performance in Game 6 against the Edmonton Oilers in the Stanley Cup Final, the Florida Panthers have secured their 2nd consecutive Stanley Cup championship.

The celebrations from the Panthers after back-to-back Stanley Cups were always going to be intense. However, things may have gotten a little out of control as an image has surfaced of a substantial dent in the base of the Cup following the aftermath of last night’s celebrations.

Thankfully, the Stanley Cup awarded to the players is merely a ceremonial Cup and not the one that resides at the Hockey Hall of Fame.
