Like back-to-back, there’s nothing better than that!”Fort Lauderdale police blocked off a section of Las Olas Blvd near A1A while crowds celebrated outside the Elbow Room, which has become a tradition.Panthers fans Eddie Blanco and Robert Johnson even got a chance to see the cup and some of the players.”They got the crowd going,” Blanco said.Blanco and Johnson drove from Fort Myers and said the trip was worth it.”You don’t know how many times you’re going to get a chance to see the team that you root for lift the Stanley Cup in your building at home,” Johnson said.The parade will take place Sunday at noon in Fort Lauderdale. Officials in Fort Lauderdale are preparing for Sunday’s championship parade for the Florida Panthers, while some fans and players are still in celebration mode.

They’re still celebrating winning the Stanley Cup championship on Tuesday night at the Amerant Arena in Sunrise.

Margate resident and Florida Panthers fan Brittany Monger was at the Amerant Arena for game six on Tuesday night and bought a championship shirt the same night, right after the game.

“Someone was just selling them in the parking lot last night, and we were like, ‘We got to have them,'” Monger said. “They’re selling them for 20 bucks, and it’s the best t-shirt! Like back-to-back, there’s nothing better than that!”

Fort Lauderdale police blocked off a section of Las Olas Blvd near A1A while crowds celebrated outside the Elbow Room, which has become a tradition.

Panthers fans Eddie Blanco and Robert Johnson even got a chance to see the cup and some of the players.

“They got the crowd going,” Blanco said.

Blanco and Johnson drove from Fort Myers and said the trip was worth it.
