TOPSHAM, Maine (WGME) — New details on a hazing investigation at Mount Ararat High School in Topsham have been released.

It’s been nearly two months since a two-page summary of the probe into the hockey team was publicly released.

At the time, the full report was considered confidential.

But we received the full document Friday following a Freedom of Access request filed by the I-Team.

Much of the report is blacked out, including names and certain details, but it does outline multiple instances of bullying and hazing from 2024.

They include a case where a player’s pants and underwear were pulled off by teammates, and multiple other occasions involving forced nudity, urinating on teammates, sexually charged taunting, homophobic language being used, and harassing messages being sent.

The report goes into detail about evidence gathered and witnesses who were interviewed, including the team’s Snapchat group messages, text messages, emails, and call logs.

It also notes players saying the locker room was often unsupervised.

An investigator hired by the district noted in the report that some of the witness testimony was credible and some was mixed.

Two senior players, along with the head coach and assistant coach, were suspended during the investigation.

District leaders said they plan to offer additional training to educate students and improve procedures for coaches and athletic staff.
