DULUTH, Minn. (Northern News Now) – One talented student-athlete from Grand Rapids is taking his talents north of the border.
Grand Rapids Thunderhawks junior goaltender Carter Casey signed a deal with the Medicine Hat Tigers of the Western Hockey League in Canada.
Casey most recently backstopped the Waterloo Blackhawks in the United States Hockey League (USHL) to the Clark Cup Finals.

This past season, Casey posted a 10-9-1 record with Grand Rapids and a 13-3-2 record with Waterloo.
The netminder has also played in national tournaments for Team USA, such as the 2024 Boys 17 National Festival and the 2024 Hlinka Gretzky Cup.
