The New Jersey Devils have made headlines in recent editions of the NHL Draft, but enter the 2025 edition with only seven selections and one choice in the top 50 picks.

By trading its first round pick, the Devils are not expected to make a selection during the first round of the draft on June 27. However, the Devils have been notorious for making moves during the second day of the draft while under the leadership of general manager Tom Fitzgerald.

As the picks come in from the draft in Los Angeles, this tracker will update with the player selected by the Devils, as well as a brief scouting report on the latest prospect for New Jersey. Where are the Devils’ other draft picks?

The Devils have only retained three of their original draft picks for the 2025 NHL Draft and have traded the rest of them away in other transactions.

The Devils gave their first-round selection in this draft to the Calgary Flames on June 19, 2024, along with Kevin Bahl, in order to acquire goalie Jacob Markstrom. Calgary will select 18th overall with New Jersey’s pick. The Devils dealt another draft pick for a goalie on March 8, 2024. New Jersey sent its third-round pick (No. 82 overall) to Montreal in order to acquire Jake Allen.

The oldest trade involving 2025 draft picks for the Devils came on July 1, 2023, when New Jersey sent their fifth-round pick (No. 146 overall) to Dallas in a trade to acquire Colin Miller.

The final draft pick for the Devils in the 2025 draft (No. 210 overall) was sent to San Jose along with Vitek Vanecek on March 8, 2024 in order to acquire Kaapo Kahkonen.

The Devils have also dealt away draft picks they had acquired from other teams. New Jersey obtained Winnipeg’s third-round pick (No. 60 overall) when trading away Tyler Toffoli on March 8, 2024. However, that pick was sent away to Anaheim on March 6, 2025 in order to acquire Brian Dumoulin.
