The 2025 NHL Draft begins on June 27 with the first round in Los Angeles, with the New York Islanders set to select at No. 1 overall.
Most expect Canadian defenseman Matthew Schaefer to be picked at No. 1, with Canadian center Michael Misa widely expected to join Schaefer either at No. 2 or No. 3 overall.
The Nashville Predators own the No. 5 overall pick and will have a chance at a top forward prospect no matter the top-4 selections. Six or more center prospects could be selected in the top 10, led by Misa and Sweden’s Anton Frondell.
