Good morning, folks. On Tuesday, Vegas Golden Knights general manager Kelly McCrimmon spoke with the media. Among other things, he gushed about young defenseman Kaedan Korczak. On Wednesday, the Golden Knights doubled down, signing Korczak to a risky four-year contract.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Elsewhere in the Daily Nuggets, two of the earliest Golden Knights signed shiny new multi-year contracts. The Florida Panthers\u00a0are prepared\u00a0to run it back and go for the three-peat. Brent Burns signed a deal with the Colorado Avalanche, and the New York Islanders swiped a highly coveted Free Agent away from the Golden Knights.<\/p>\n

If you thought the Golden Knights\u2019 contention window was closing, Marner\u00a0slammed it right back open<\/a>. Kelly McCrimmon said just as much in his\u00a0press conference on Tuesday<\/a>.<\/p>\n Unfortunately, McCrimmon also confirmed that defenseman Alex Pietrangelo likely won\u2019t return to hockey. He acknowledged Pietrangelo the player, but focused on praising his professionalism and\u00a0strength of character<\/a>.
