{"id":128268,"date":"2025-07-17T01:56:11","date_gmt":"2025-07-17T01:56:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.rawchili.com\/nhl\/128268\/"},"modified":"2025-07-17T01:56:11","modified_gmt":"2025-07-17T01:56:11","slug":"nhl-hands-down-massive-disadvantage-to-the-vancouver-canucks-to-start-the-2025-26-season","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.rawchili.com\/nhl\/128268\/","title":{"rendered":"NHL Hands Down Massive Disadvantage to the Vancouver Canucks to Start the 2025-26 Season"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.rawchili.com\/nhl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/579607.webp.webp\" style=\"width:100%;\" border=\"0\" alt=\"National Hockey League Commissioner Gary Bettman.\" title=\"National Hockey League Commissioner Gary Bettman.\"\/><\/p>\n<p>Photo credit: Los Angeles Times<\/p>\n<p>The National Hockey League has handed the Vancouver Canucks a massive disadvantage to start the 2025-26 season, with the schedule released earlier today.<\/p>\n<p>Canucks fans have been eagerly waiting to see when they&#8217;d see their favorite players back on the ice and the team, along with 31 other club, released their 2025-26 schedule on Wednesday, however for Vancouver, they were handed a pretty big disadvantage by the NHL.<\/p>\n<p>NHL gives Vancouver Canucks disadvantage to begin 2025-26 season<\/p>\n<p>As mentioned, the Vancouver Canucks will begin their season at Rogers Arena against the Calgary Flames and after that, they&#8217;ll head to Alberta to take on the Edmonton Oilers, before returning home to face the St. Louis Blues for a matinee on Thanksgiving.<\/p>\n<p>Following that game against the Blues, the Canucks will head out on a five-game road trip with stops in Dallas, Chicago, Washington, Pittsburgh and Nashville, with the matchup against the Capitals set for 9:30 am PT.<\/p>\n<p>In total, Vancouver will have six of their first eight games of the 2025-26 season on the road, which is obviously out of their control, but something the organization likely isn&#8217;t too happy with.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;#Canucks regular season schedule is here.<\/p>\n<p>6 of their first 8 games are on the road.&#8221; Rob Williams of Daily Hive said on X.<\/p>\n<p>Upon returning from that road trip, Adam Foote&#8217;s group will have a three-game homestand where they&#8217;ll face the Montreal Canadiens (Oct. 25th), Edmonton Oilers (Oct. 26th) and on October 28th, they&#8217;ll welcome <a href=\"https:\/\/www.markerzone.com\/hockey\/stats\/nhl\/player\/JT-Miller-29480\" class=\"lien_marqueur\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\" title=\"J.T. Miller profile and hockey stats\">J.T.
