We have almost made it through the doldrums of one of the sleepiest off-seasons in memory. The finish line to this snoozer is within sight as the NHL trade chatter is now centering on goalies, and the Edmonton Oilers could be eyeing up a few young netminders. Pittsburgh Penguins general manager Kyle Dubas admitted he holds the keys to the RFA market for a couple of teams that have called to talk trade. We did some sleuthing to name names. And, the Gaudreau wives announced a foundation honoring their late husbands, Matthew and Johnny.<\/p>\n
A PHN commenter pointed out that it has been years since a trade happened at this point in August, but something tells me that the clogged off-season has to break at some point. The GMs may be taking a breather today, but there is more work to do before the season starts.<\/p>\n
